Janelle St. Omer

Janelle St. Omer is DEI consultant with over 16 years experience in the DEI and Social Impact space, most recently the VP, Inclusion and Impact for an international tech firm working to embed equitable, ethical and sustainable social impact practices into the core of the business, enhance the employer brand and create a culture of belonging.  

In her last role as VP of Inclusion and Impact, she led the organization’s DEI&B thought leadership, vision, strategy, roadmap, success criteria and operational plan in concert with the Chief People Officer and Management teams to embed DEI into their people practices.

Accomplishments include: 

  • Partner across teams to embed and optimize the effectiveness of DEI&B education,
  • initiatives, principles, systems and practices to create an equitable culture 
  • Conducted audit of current business practices
  • Created ERG and Inclusion Council framework, support ERG leaders in advancing their strategy
  • Provided leadership and consultation to leaders on issues related to DEI&B
  • Created and guided the ESG strategy, including nonprofit/community partnerships, community investment granting and employee programs
  • Led sustainability roadmap, identifying science -based targets resulting in carbon neutrality by 2040

Janelle has worked in both the corporate and non- profit sectors, from start- ups to large scale companies with focus on driving employee attraction, community partnerships, employer branding, engagement and retention. She is a Certified facilitator, Industry speaker and podcast host. 

She is currently the Vice Chair of the Black Business & Professionals Association and supports children’s health, racial justice, and youth development causes while pursuing her MBA.
